Guest guest
Bhaktivedanta Leadership Newsletter A Stone Boat Leaders who have fallen into ignorance and who mislead people by directing them to the path of destruction [as described in the previous verse] are, in effect, boarding a stone boat, and so too are those who blindly follow them. A stone boat would be unable to float and would sink in the water with its passengers. Similarly, those who mislead people go to hell, and their followers go with them. SB 6.7.14 Editor's Note Whom do you accept as your authority? Do you follow blindly or with discimination? What character do you expect to see in a leader you will agree to follow? A week ago I spoke to a devotee how giving classes, courses and public speeches is service to people, and he said: "I am going to get scheduled to regularly wash toilets at the Bhaktivedanta Manor. It's good for me." He is a reputable speaker and mentor, but he wants to wash toilets to keep himself humble.
