Guest guest
Pamho. AGTSP. I think the only problem in ISKCON is not enough stress on Krishna katha and chanting. Therefore more Nama Yajnas, festivals, etc can be real solution. SP stressed that one has to be engaged 100 percent in devotional service. Like in the story some devotees dont mind ISKCON to split, they are interested in some particular goal. If they can have homosex marriage, illicit activities, or more relaxed devotional service they dont care if ISKCON splits. Or if someone can be an acarya or have many followers. On the other hand there are devotees concerned that the SP movement remains as it is SP desire. As this is the real mood of SP. The question is do we understand SP mood and mission? I saw devotees smashing that everything was maya but in the other way actually there was not enough stress on developing the inner life. The higher taste, absorbtion in KC activities. So naturally after some time the enthuiasm based on puja, labha pratistha diminished and the devotees started to search happiness in so called "also bona fide things". And tried to figure out what all are the bona fide things one can engage as time fillers. If there is idea that one has to have fun in KC then even a football match is a nice thing to do. But if one looks from the point of developing kevala bhakti, then certainly its not neccesary to arrange for such activities. But better to arrange for some program engaging devotees in hearing and chanting. I am not supriced that such events accure in ISKCON as this is natural. We have seen that in Gaudiya Matha that after leaving of SBSST the disciples split up and were happy to be a big acarya in their own matha, unlike SP who were sad about this and endeavored to unify this. But as one SP Godbrother said he doesnt want to join SP since he will look small aside of him. SP never liked the idea of splitting, but rather endeavor to correct things. What is the use to have a bona fide and not bona fide group. I am happy that ISKCON didnt fall into this trap to split up in different groups even it may be the idea of some individual. I think ISKCON has to be purified of all such mixed ideas which have no real connection to attaining pure devotion. So instead of smashing the ideas of sports, material activities we have to offer more and more spiritual engagements. SBSST stressed on chanting 1 lakh rounds or be engaged in preaching all day. Now the reality is hopefully 16 rounds, and mostly all day our mind is driven by different mental ideas given by external energy. And devotees trying to solve their problems by material arrangement not seing the real problem- mental platform. Certanily there can not be any unity on such mental level. As everyone will try to look from his point of view. The GBC has a hard job to handle all this challenges and engage devotees in KC. I see the only solution that many devotees help GBC to strenghten ISKCON by their individual KC practice and also inspiring others to become more engaged in KC. Otherwise not tasting the KC nectar devotees will certainly search for happiness in other activities and be upset someone wants to restrict their activities. param dristva nivartate- we have to try to establish the higher taste.
