Guest guest
>From BBT ss: Generally, the use of *as* to introduce the complements of *consider* and *deem* is superfluous. We consider Krsna [no *as*] the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Even if coming from a low caste, a pure Vaisnava is deemed [no *as*] more qualified than a high-caste brahmana. Still, *consider as* does have its proper use, to convey the sense of thinking about a person or object in a particular aspect, in distinction to others: "Now that we have considered Srila Prabhupada as an author, let us consider him as the leader of a religious movement new to the West." Perhaps the rule applies also to "regard"? "Only scriptures that describe Krsna are to be relied upon and regarded /as/ sacred." "Why should these pots be regarded /as/ pure or impure?"
