Consider this instead: some are just tired > of pointless speculation and insensitive musings. Another thing to consider is that there is a proper place, time and forum for every discussion. I am not necessarily referring to the subject of beating women, but to not discuss something in public is not the same as surpressing it. The modern idea that everything and everyone should be accountable to everyone else is completely demoniac. For instance, a person who is new to Krishna consciousness will not benefit at all from discussing the falldowns of sannyasis and gurus or the inadequacies of the GBC. Neither is his opinion about these matters valuable, nor is it proper to discuss these faults and shortcomings in front of everyone on PAMHO. Even in the karmi world this principle is to some extent accepted. Say you are a new employee in IBM. Then you just shut up and do what you are told. You wouldn't last one day in that company if you immediately started criticizing and advising the top management. They'd just laugh at you and throw you out on your head. ys, jdd
