We had good friend of our Krishna Balaram temple who was also a dear friend of Srila Prabhupada who was suffering very severe asthma. One time he gave a nice donation to Vrinda Kunda and practically the next day in a publication from Gorakpur PRess call Go Ank, he found a simple cure. In the morning you bathe with cow dung and then morning and evening you take a pinch of toasted alum (phitkari) in a small glass of warm water. He said he couldn't even walk up to the front gate of his house, but after one month, he threw away all his medicines and was walking around the block. Good Luck!
