That's a very interesting definition. It's very different from the etymological meaning om "atheist," but still perfect, because if you reject the soul you reject the Vedas. I can see on the Vedabase, that Prabhupada also says that if you don't believe in the soul you can't understand God - which makes you an atheist. Here is a nice quote from Prabhupada: "According to the Vedic line of thought, anyone who does not accept the authority of Vedas, he is called atheist."
