I don't know what the latest is but in Prabhupada's time we stayed away from

grains, beans and peas. Boss. We ate peanuts, vegetables (including

tomatoes-the seeds are not a grain or a legume (bean or pea) and we had

wonderful feasts with leafy vegetables. As far as the salt thing goes there

is some reason but I can't remember. I can find out though and get back to

you. That is also rather a new thing though. In my family we tend to just

stick with what Prabhupada taught us otherwise we can get swamped down with

rules and regs and starve and none of us can do that in my family. It is

best to stick with what Prabhupada taught us in any case. We don't need to

get fancy. Otherwise you can go to far and 'step on the head of the guru'.
