Be careful. Do you have someone caring for you? Someone to advocate for you if you get too sick to do so for yourself. Someone who is up to speed on your condition and what measures are being taken. This good be very helpful. Srila Prabhupada's recommendations are based on his knowledge from what was appropriate 50 years ago. This doctor may be using medicines that were not even available when he was studying medicine that have changed the way typhoid is treated. I don't know. The glucose water only certainly sounds reasonable, but it still amounts to a fast and that can unbalance your electrolytes, especially potassium. SP may not have given every detail. Maybe something else was added like honey instead of sugar and perhaps fresh lemon juice. Remember, what works in one system may not work in another system. Better to stick with a whole system rather than a little bit from that one, a little bit from this one. If you get feverish and start to dehydrate you may suffer some delirium. The doctor may give you IVs to replenish electrolytes if you advance in sympton.s The honey water with lemon may be useful if the doctor doesn't. Don't make a decision based on what I am saying. Or anyone who is not trained to give a professional opinion. http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dbmd/diseaseinfo/typhoidfever_g.htm
Guest guest
yes, get a good allopathic doctor and don't wait. Typhoid isn't a problem, as long as it it propmptly attended to, alloapathically. yspda
