The problems can be many. The fact > is that no one learns how to be a yoga teacher in a few weeks. Yes, it takes years of great determination to come to a level, where you can actually teach others in your field of expertise. Same stands for all different bridge or social practices, like astrology, vastu (vasati?), ayurveda, cooking, bharat-natyam dancing, drama.... All these practices are advertised in ISKCON, and all are offered quick crash courses (weekend or at best a week), and all these courses are promising, that one comes out able and expert teacher, bridge preacher, after going through it. Even if those courses are offered with intention, to train bridge preachers, still it is not good. If one is expert, then ok, but to give layman some basic knowledge, and then send him out and present him as expert in his field, may be tricky, even if it is in the name of preaching. Do we want to be known to the world as charlatan astrologers, cheating vastu experts, mediocre cooks, so-called bharat-natyam dancers, amateur actors... ? Do we want to give such impression to people with our preaching? In the end, all those courses do not produce experts. It would take much more, to create experts. Actually it is just a way to entertain the mind of those, who need "something more" in order to officially remain in ISKCON. It is entertainment for the distracted. But then, does it need to be taken seriously? your servant Giri-nayaka das
