Why should it be impossible? Of course, all arguments rests on unproven assumptions, unless they are based on sabda-pramana, but this argument is really bad because the unproven assumptions are very controversial - and therefore the atheist should put forward subarguments to support them. And as you say, Prabhu, why should it be imppossible to prove a self-deception? Of course we can prove self-deceptions - otherwise we couldn't prove anything, because a proof for A is also a proof that not-A is false, and that we are decieving ourselves if we believe not-A to be true. I'm mean, really, this "argument" is not even worth commenting upon because it's so extremely foolish. But since I saw it quite a few times I thought I would put it to rest.
