Before July 9, 1977 Srila Prabhupada either told the disciples personally

that he accepted him/her as his disciple, or he wrote a letter to the temple

president. After July 9, 1977 Srila Prabhupada no longer did that.

After Srila Prabhupada's departure no devotee in ISKCON has been initiated

as a direct disciple of Srila Prabhupada.

 

IRM claims that the system introduced on July 9, 1977 has not changed

because Srila Prabhupada did not say that it should be changed.

These texts are read by about 70-80 persons (here and on the IRM forum). But
