Guest guest
Dear Yaduraja Prabhu, PAMHO. AGTSP! > Srila Prabhupada taught that the diksa guru must be authorised. I assumed > you accepted Srila Prabhupada's teaching on this since you repeated it > during this debate. You still committed the logical fallacy "hasty generalization". So please retract your incorrect claim and apologize. > So are you now saying that Harikesa is not your diksa guru but your siksa > guru? No. Now back to your point a): Generally, if you claim something by a statement that has more than one meaning, then you have to provide a proof for each meaning of that statement. For example if you claim "this flashlight is light", then you have to prove that it is not dark and not heavy. You presented following as your point a): "Srila Prabhupada set himself up, deliberately, in the position of the sole diksa guru for ISKCON in 1966." This statement has several meanings. One of them is following: "In 1966 Srila Prabhupada did something, deliberately, with the result that afterwards he was the sole diksa guru for ISKCON which he was not before." You have not provided a proof for that meaning. Therefore, your point a) is unproven, although other meanings of your statement may have been proven. Like for example, "this flashlight is light" is wrong if the flashlight is not dark but heavy. Rather you confirmed following: On Jan 19, 2006 you wrote: > But you can only be the ‘sole diksa guru’ for an institution if you have > already set things up like that. On Feb 08, 2006 you wrote: > > Do you accept that Srila Prabhupada was already the sole diksa guru for > > ISKCON before he conducted the first initiation ceremony in ISKCON? > > Oh yes of course. So please provide a proof that before Srila Prabhupada conducted the first initiation ceremony in ISKCON he had already set things up to be the sole diksa guru for ISKCON. Or declare that you exclude following meaning from your point a): "In 1966 Srila Prabhupada did something, deliberately, with the result that afterwards he was the sole diksa guru for ISKCON which he was not before." ys Ramakanta dasa
