Then to say that He doesn't exist or that He exist are > both only half truths, or? In the absolute truth there are no half truths, they are all complete truths coexisting in the absolute. A half truth is a material concept, as if they can't be true at the same time, or as if only together they form a complete whole. Krishna's non-existence would be the impersonal Brahman. It's like in the famous example Prabhupada gave, that in the material realm 1 minus 1 equals 0, but in the spiritual realm 1 minus 1 equals 1. But speaking to an atheist, I would just say that because nothing is impossible for God, therefore He can prove that He doesn't exist, but since He can prove He doesn't exist it means He exists, so therefore He is not an atheist. IOW, if God can prove He doesn't exist He is not an atheist. How can God prove anything if He doesn't exist? The fallacy of the atheistic argument is that they say if God can prove he doesn't exist, then it follows He must be an atheist. But that doesn't logically follow in the case of God. Again they have committed the blunder of submitting God to their own human conditioned mindset. > I guess the devotees then prefers to emphazise > His existence while admitting that His non-existence is also there, while > the atheists only acknowledge His non-existence, which is why they are at > fault. This acintya-shakti of Krishnas makes it very difficult to reason > about Him The concept God no doubt leads to different contradictions, > but that would also be expexted since Krishna trancendental to logic, and > if He wasn't then He would be limited. Exactly. Therefore Jiva Goswami said, that to understand God, first you must understand that He is inconceivable. ys, jdd
