Guest guest
Posted by Yaduraja on Feb 22, 2006: Dear Ramakanta prabhu Prabhu, PAMHO. AGTSP! You wrote: > You said "they were all authorised to act as God's representative's on > earth". But you also said "Srila Prabhupada remains the diksa guru for > ISKCON". This is a contradiction. Please explain. They were authorised to act as God’s representatives on earth by the so-called GBC. That is the identical process I refer to. We agree with you: > The authorization to be diksa-guru must come from Srila Prabhupada. Absolutely right on brother. > And I don't know if all ISKCON gurus received that authorization from > Srila Prabhupada. We know for a fact that they did not, it originally came from the GBC in the form of a 1978 resolution based on a false claim of authorisation that was never actually given by Srila Prabhupada. So you should now join the IRM. I have sent you all the GBC resolutions so you can look it up. Since Srila Prabhupada never authorised the GBC to authorise diksa gurus we do not accept the GBC as a bona fide GBC, nor do we accept ISKCON as currently a bona fide ISKCON. That is why, despite the fact that Srila Prabhupada established himself firmly as the sole diksa guru for ISKCON, we still, three decades on, need to re-establish him in this position. And you may know we are gaining increasing support in this endeavour. So how was my assumption incorrect? Here are the facts: Harikesa is your diksa guru therefore you must accept his authority on all matters, you can’t cherry pick. Harikesa promoted the GBC two thirds majority voting system as bona fide for decades. That is the identical process by which all ISKCON gurus become gurus. No ISKCON guru claims he has been independently authorised by some extra, mystical, hidden, esoteric intervention by Srila Prabhupada (if that is what you are hinting at). Therefore you must accept all ISKCON gurus as equally authorised. Now please tell me which of the above facts is wrong, or how exactly my conclusion is incorrect. After this we can then go onto the next level of self-contradiciton, Harikes’s new philosophy. Bet you can’t wait for that.
