Guest guest
This sounds like a nice program. I remember at Gita-nagari, as part of the morning program, they used to read the milk production of the different cows and all the different ox jobs -- a way to glorify the devotional service of the cows and oxen. There were many calls of "Jaya!" and beating on mrdangas and kartalas for favorite cows and oxen. Then at Govardhana Puja the head cowherd and the head of the ox program would present nice notebooks to the Deities which were records of all the production of the cows and the oxen for the year. your servant, Hare Krsna dasi Syamasundara wrote: >Dear ox workers if you work you ox please let us know how much. > >For your inspiration and ox workers enticement we have started recording the >amount of ox work performed each week at the Manor. > >The records specify the work done, Hrs worked, Number of oxen and total ox >hours (hours x number of oxen). > >We are recording the time of ox work from yoke on to yoke off. > >Week ending 12/2/06 total ox hours was 40 over 5 days >which included School group tours, rubbish transportation, Plowing, Manure >spreading, Chain harrowing > >week ending 4/3/06 total ox hours was 91 over 6 days >which included discing, School group tours, harrowing grass, manure >spreading, ploughing, milling grains > >As you will note their are a couple of weeks missing.
