Guest guest
Pamho, agtSP! OK! So this is an argument i heard long ago: In this world we see there are dualities, heat - cold, light - darkness, power - weakness, hard - soft (and mio. of other dualities.) So everything has it's opposite in some way. So, in this world we see matter. The qualities of matter are that it's completely ignorant, unconsciouss and has no power to make any desicions and carry them out. Since everything in this world has it's opposite then there must also exist something which has all knowledge (the opposite of no knowledge), is all-knowing (the opposite of unconscious) and can make any decision and carryit out). Such a being is the supremely powerfull, all-knowing, omniscient God. I think I heard it from Hrdayananda Maharaja. Another argument goes like this. Maybe this was also mentioned among the arguments presented by Gauranga Premanada Prabhu. In our body we see al kind of substances. We often call them earth, water, fire, air, ether, mind, intelligence and false ego. But we could also use the words chemicals and consciousness - it doesnøt matter in this context. The point is that we can observe that all these different chemicals exist inside our body and outside as well. There must be an outside source from where we get the chemicals used in our body, so from which outside source do we get the mind, intelligence and consciousness which we have? These two arguments are not strictly logical. They are heuristic reasoning, but still very good and usefull in my humble opinion. Any comments on these arguments?
