Dear Prabhus,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

To Temple Leaders & Authorities,

An Invitation to the 1st of its kind!

"The Brahmacari Conference"

Venue:

@ Bhaktivedanta Manor, London, UK

- Do your temple brahmacaris need nourishing association?

- Will brahmacaris from your temple benefit from:

Increased focus & direction,

a sense of identity, leadership and training,

increased responsibilities and commitment?

- Would you like your brahmacaris to emulate the qualities of mature,

competent brahmacari preachers?

Manor Training & Education (MTE) warmly invites

all brahmacaris, from across the UK and Europe to

attend the first Brahmacari Conference. The

conference will be facilitated by HG Govinda

Prabhu & HG Gauranga Prabhu - the President and

vice-president of ISKCON Chowpatty, Mumbai, with

special guest speaker HG Mahadyuti prabhu the

temple President of Soho London and senior Prabhupada disciple.

Chowpatty is renowned as one of the most

successful brahmacari ashrams in the world. HG

Govinda Prabhu & HG Gauranga Prabhu from

and experience on brahmacari life. This will

include 2 days of seminars, workshops, prasadam,

kirtan, and wonderful brahmacari association.

maintaining the taste for renunciation.

· Principles of brahmacari and grhasta ashrams: making a choice.

· Actual case studies from the Brahmacari

ashram in Chowpatty in the last 10 years.

· Practical aspects of brahmacarya:

etiquette & culture (e.g. ashram cleanliness,

dress, behaviour, etiquette with women,

traveling, health, preaching, studying etc.) – 2 sessions.

· Staying brahmacari – tips and advice.

Course dates:

Monday 10th & Tuesday 11th April 2006

Chowpatty Ethos:

Extract from HH Niranjana Maharaja January 26th 2002

As many of you know, the Chowpatty temple in

Bombay is trying to establish a model for our

society. It is actually just like one big family;

the devotees have very deep relationships with

each other. This is because they not only

associate with each other within the service that

they have, but they are learning how to associate

with each other outside the realm of the day-to-day service...

So these devotees take themselves outside of

those working relationships and have relationships based upon Krishna-katha…

So when the Chowpatty devotees come together and

study Srila Prabhupada's books, they teach each

other, they have kirtans and bhajans together

and, as you probably know, they have a whole

network of support to help each other."
