KRSNA-bhakti or VISNU-bhakti ?

My understanding is,

 

Mantras cannot be changed, irrespeective of other technicalities like Vishnu

and Krishna are same etc,.

 

For example

 

Nama Om Vishnu padaya, Krishna presthaya bhutale....,

 

cannot be changed to

 

Nama Om Krishna padaya , Krishna presthaya bhutale etc,.

 

So if the original is Vishnu bhakti prade devi we have to continue Vishnu

bakti prade deve and not change the mantra just because it is technically

correct, as Krishna and Vishnu are same.
