Yoga Maya Films looking for Writers

Hare Krishna,

 

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

 

Yoga Maya Films is a UK based production company created for producing

cutting edge films based on Krishna conscious themes. I (the founder)

am currently preparing a slate of film projects (mostly feature length)

for producing/directing and wish to speak with devotees interested in

writing for the screen. I would love to speak with anyone who is

conversant with the building blocks of a good script; or is able to

spend the time to learn these things.

 

There is possibility for development funding for promising ideas, and

for a dedicated and serious writer, we are willing to raise funds to

help them spend their time writing (this may not always be the case,

though). Most important is that you are actually able to sit down and

put words on the page; to tell a good story in a contemporary and

engaging way. We would want to develop treatments and full drafts in

collaboration.

 

If the style and vision were in sync with what Yoga Maya Films is

trying to achieve, then we would be looking to develop a long and

engaging relationship for film making. The message and content in our

films will be open and varied, and always commercial in their appeal

(in one way or another).

 

Favorite films that demonstrate the scope and vision of what Yoga Maya

Films is aiming for are: The Matrix, The Lord of the Rings and Star

Wars.

devotee writers, please forward this on.

 

Yoga Maya films has been collaborating with writers outside of Krishna

Consciousness simply due to a lack of knowing screenwriters within. I

really would like to change that.
