Guest guest
Dear Yaduraja Prabhu, PAMHO. AGTSP! > You cannot defeat me by challenging me to prove a negative. That depends on what you mean by "defeat". By "defeated" I mean following: You post a claim. I say that it is unproven. You cannot prove it. > Our position is based precisely on instructions Srila Prabhupada gave in > signed directives and approved GBC resolutions and the status quo he left > in place as a result of such instruction, Your point b) is not based on Srila Prabhupada's statements. And any conclusion drawn from your point b) is based on what Srila Prabhupada did not say. > whereas your challenge is based on asking us to prove that Srila > Prabhupada did NOT do something, which is a logical fallacy. It does not matter whether my challenge is a logical fallacy or not; your point b) is unproven. Or do you claim that it is proven just because it is a negative? > This is the very instruction you are not following since your position is > based not on any ORDER or instruction that was actually GIVEN that you can > produce, What position are you talking about? Please quote. > You must prove that Srila Prabhupada gave an order, I do not have to prove statements that I did not make. > we do not have to prove he did not. Then your claim remains unproven. > I was hoping that by now you would have realised that we are not proposing > anything. That's right, your point b) it not proposing anything. Rather, it is claiming something. > Such an order could only be applicable for the institution of ISKCON if it > was delivered by Srila Prabhupada to the body he placed in charge of > managing his directives within the institution of ISKCON. Please confirm this by a quote from Srila Prabhupada. Or in other words, please prove that the authorization to be diksa guru has to be recorded somewhere. > The GBC have seriously deviated ... Oh, you are above the GBC and therefore in a positions where you can judge the GBC. I always thought that only Srila Prabhupada (and the guru parampara) is above the GBC. > You have agreed with point a) which has Srila Prabhupada established as > the sole diksa guru for ISKCON via activities we have both agreed with. It is not proven that Srila Prabhupada established himself as the sole diksa guru for ISKCON. You proved only that he made himself recognized and accepted as such. "Established himself as ..." has also other meanings which are not proven. > We are very happy with that status quo. We are not proposing any change to > that status quo. Since Madhvacarya the status quo is that when an acarya leaves the planet, he stops accepting disciples on earth. There is no instruction by Srila Prabhupada that he changed that system. Therefore, today this is still the system. ys Ramakanta dasa
