The Govinda restaurant in Iskcon Buddhanilkantha has begun to

prepare different food items. Potato chips and few types of dry sweets are

always available and fast moving items. . Meals can also be prepared and

served if advance notice is given. So please do not forget the restaurant

when you come to visit Iskcon Budhanilkantha next time.

On this day local mataji passed away. She was a regular visitor of

our temple and she chanted the mahamantra regularly. On the day of her

passing away, her relatives were not present to perform the final rites. So

the devotees of Iskcon engaged themselves in completing the final rites.

The devotees of Iskcon participated in the opening day of newly

established religious orgainsation called National Religious, Cultural

Co-ordination and Cooperation Society. In this programme 20 other religious

organizations had participated. On this occasion the president of Iskcon

Nepal,HG Raganuga Bhakti Das wished the new organisation a successful future

and at the same time presented to all the guests about Srila Prabhupada's

message on universal welfare.

A brihad satsang (get-together) was arranged in the temple by Namhat

department. Around 700 people participated in this programme with Bhajans

kirtans presented by HG Lochan Das, HG Krishna Prasad Das, Bhakta Madhav

Dahal,and Prabachan by HG Raganuga Bhakti Das on the daily activities of

Lord Krishna in Vrindavan, the programme came to an interesting end with a

few games like tug-o-war between the Youth and musical chair for the

children and a written general quiz for the young matajis. Door prizes were

also present to different visitors.

On occasion of Gita Jyanti the temple and namhatta devotees of

Iskcon gathered at Bhimsen Tower in Sundhara. The devotees went up the

tower and displayed the banner on Gita Jayanti. There after, all the

devotees engaged in Nagarkirtan around the city, spreading the message of

Lord Krishna. The devotees then came to Jagannath-Baladev-Subhadra temple

at Makhan Tole . Here, again the final appreciation of the message of

Bhagawat Gita was made. After the Aarti and bhajan, the programme came to an

end.
