Guest guest
Our Humble Obeisances "Sodas and even fruit juices are not substitutes for water." Interesting detail, would you like to elaborate about the reasons? Due to cold climat here in Finland, devotees drink lot of warm/hot drinks, herbal teas, milk, plain water is generally less from the total amount of liquid taken. ys mrd

If you were going to wash your dirty hands, would you use soda or fruit juice, or would you use water? You could goggle this as easily as I could for more scientific explanation, but the water in fruit juices and soda is a carrier for sugars and other substances which require some digestion. Herbal teas are about the same as plain water, I would think. There is some evience of a link between sodas and colon cancer but it is not verified yet. Soda business is billions of dollars profit yearly, getting someone to stop drinking them profits no one but the ex drinker, so I can imagine further studies on the connection to colon cancer are underfunded.
