Guest guest
Sometimes there are salt licks made by various companies that contain non veg ingredients. If you use raw rock salt you will be ok. If you buy a manufactured salt block it may not be veg. ys syamasundara dasa
Guest guest
Haribol. Here in western India we buy 50kilos of unrefined rough sea salt for about Rs 50 to Rs. 80 and the cows get a handful each aday in their feed. We also give them big lumps of rock salt ( senda namak in Hindi) to lick out in the field unless it is monsoon . This rock salt which they love to lick prevents worms and gets them to drink more water and is very good for health. Black salt has too much sulphur, and is better used for medicine . I thought all salt is vegetarian. ys Labangalatika dasi - Raghupati (das) Sp (Cakovec - HR) <Raghupati.Sp (AT) pamho (DOT) net> Cow (Protection and related issues) <Cow (AT) pamho (DOT) net> Monday, April 17, 2006 9:01 PM vegetarian salt > Dear devoties, > Please accept my most humblle obeisances,All glories to Srila Prabhupada. > I would like to ask what is vegetarian salt and how much should be given to > cows daily? > Ys.Raghupati das > > ----------------------- > To from this mailing list, send an email to: > Cow-Owner (AT) pamho (DOT) net
