Guest guest
> Here is another Amazon.com review of PN Oak's book: Interesting but not really of any value from a spiritual perspective. And readers should be cautious about PN Oak's speculations. Some may be accurate and some definitely aren't. A case in point is his claim that the name 'Australia' is a combination of the Sanskrit 'astra' and 'alaya' meaning, according to Oak, that Australia is 'the place of weapons' i.e. he says Australia was the place where the ksatriyas used to practice their weaponry and that's why most of it is desert. Unfortunately for Mr. Oak, a quick check of his English dictionary would have informed him that 'austral' comes from the Latin 'ustralis' which means 'of, or coming from the south.' Australia simply means 'the land in the south (seas)'. So be careful what you believe. Your humble servant, Hari-sauri dasa
