Dear all,

Dandavat Pranams. Jai Srila Prabhupada, Hare Krishna.

This is just for the information of the vaishnavas so that we don't

disregard or offend the Acharyas and devotees of the Madhava line. We

Gaudiyas are often criticized by the Madhvas for claiming to be coming in

the Madhva line but not having a thorough information of the history and

preaching of many of the acharyas and devotees in other branches of the

Madhva tree.

We definitely have the highest philosophy given by Lord Chaitanya and the

Goswamis and have a lot of exemplary devotees in our Gaudiya line.

Nevertheless there are also many great vaishnavas in other branches of the

Madhva line. Often due to lack of detailed information we tend to look down

upon and criticize the other authentic sampradayas and are in turn

criticized for that. Of course I do not deny the fact that there are also

instances when we are wrongly criticized for the difference in the siddhanta

that our acharyas established on the basis of authentic scriptures. But an

open minded approach to each other's siddhanta and appreciation for the same

common goals the great acharyas of the different Vaishnava sampradayas have

established can resolve the occasional tensions between different

sampradayas.

Raghavendra Swami is not considered as the reincarnation of Hanuman but as

being that of Prahlad Maharaj. It is Madhvacharya who is considered to be

the incarnation of Hanuman and he himself claims that too in his works. But

there is also authentic pramana for these two great acharyas and also many

others in the Madhva Sampradaya who have been identified as reincarnations

of different great personalities like for example Jayatirtha Acharya is

considered to be an incarnation of Indra, Purandara Dasa as that of Narada

Muni etc. They have very authentic pramanas and they are all printed in many

of Madhava works. They are not as popular for lack of English translation of

the original Kannada or Sanskrit works of many of the Madhva Acharyas.

Perhaps a research work on this significantly important subject will answer

all the questions.

Please send me any comments or criticism or corrections on my humble

opinion.

Humble servant of the Vaishnavas

Chaitanya Bhagavan Dasa
