Last darshan of Didi Ma

Please accept my humble obeisancies.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

 

I took photos of Didima on her last day and also plenty of photos of her

funeral and devotees carying her; helping to carry the wood for the fire -

even ladies and children were carying wood; arranging fire; placing her body

on the logs for burning; devotees taking bath in Ganga.

 

I am not so sure if I shall post these pics on the web for everyone, but may

be on personal request, so if someone wants to see them - tell me.

 

Following is the message from Ramadevi Mataji in case someone missed it,

more report of this will come soon in Mayapur Katha. If someone wants to

contribute their memories of Didima to be published in MK - please do it in

the next couple of days, no later than 4 May.

Dear Maharajas and Prabhu,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

 

Tonight at approximately 7.28pm, here in Sridham Mayapur, surrounded by

devotees and the chanting of the Holy Names, under the merciful glances of

her beloved Sri Sri Radha Madhava, Didi Ma (Srimate Radharani devi dasi)

left her suffering body to return to the spiritual world. She passed on

quietly.

 

Didi Ma took shelter of Srila Prabhupada in the very early days of Mayapur

and was a favourite cook of the devotees and Their Lordships. She had been

bed-ridden for 3 months but was quite strong until a few days back when she

was no longer able to swallow even water.

 

Her funeral will be held tomorrow. Any devotees wishing to send memories of

Didi Ma can send them to Jananivas/Pankajanghri Prabhus, Padmalocan das or

myself.

 

Srimate Radharani devi dasi, Didi Ma ki jai!
