It Takes a Village!

 

Since 2001, Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. has served the hospice needs of terminally

ill devotees and their families around the world by providing personal

assistance, hands-on training, educational seminars, and financial

resources. Having received the blessings of ISKCON’s Governing Body of

Commissioners (GBC) in 2002, we continue to expand our worldwide network of

volunteers to assist wherever there is a need. His Holiness Bhakti Tirtha

Swami, having been a great visionary for the expansion of Srila Prabhupada’s

movement, enthusiastically joined our Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. Board of Directors

and guided its mission throughout the remainder of his days. We continue to

serve the Vaisnavas in this way.

 

Presently, Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. is receiving an increase in requests from

devotees with long-term, chronic illnesses. However, their needs differ from

those requiring shorter-term, end-of-life hospice care. We are making every

endeavor to assist them with practical arrangements for their care by

providing sincere, devotee caregivers wherever possible. In addition, there

is a great need to assist the patient’s families with the financial expenses

that accompany a long-term illness. Obviously, to meet the many needs of our

worldwide Vaisnava community, requires all of us.

 

We are asking you to assist a terminally ill or chronically ill Vaisnava by

making a small monthly, tax-deductible donation to Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. We

are simply begging on behalf of Srila Prabhupada.
