Guest guest
The reason there has not been a demonstration at the Kazakh Embassy in Delhi is that we have been waiting to meet the Ambassador before conducting such a program. Yesterday we met with a consul in the embassy and he listened to our plight sympathetically. He stated that in the post soviet era the biggest problem is that the powerful people want to steal everything. Then he added, it sure seems that someone has thier eyes on your property. Today the Kazakh Ambassador phoned Mahamantra and fixed an appointment for 11 AM tomorrow Wednesday the 3rd April. Thus we will see how the situation develops. Also for 3 Pril 2006 we have a meeting with CNN-IBN at 9AM and a press conference with the printed media at 1:30 PM. Yesterday we spoke to the Indian Ambassador in kazakhstan and he said that thier office was working on the situation as well. There is also one Indian leader in the states, Biharilal Patel, who wants to organise a march on the kazakh Embassy in washington, dc. Anuttama prabhu said that his team was also going to organise something at the kazakh consul in NYC. I would suggest that all devotees in all countries of the world check with their governments to see if the government has established diplomatic relations with Kazakhstan. Then, the devotees in that particular country should: 1. Lodge a complaint regarding the violation of human rights and religious freedom that is being conducted against ISKCON in Kazakhstan. Ask the foreign ministry to take it up with thier conterparts in kazakhstan. 2. If there is a Kazakhstan embassy in thier nation they should organise a protest. Sivarama Swami is bringing a bulldozer, a few hundred devotees, placards and all of the media. Devotees throughout the world should do the same. 3. If there is an Indian consul in thier nation, the Indian Ambassador should be approached and an official complaint be lodged with the request that the Prime minister of India with take up this issue with President Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan. 4. There should be petition signing campaigns and all of the signatures should be presented to you foreign ministries, kazakh embassy, and Indian Embassy. 5. If any of you have contacts with any internation news agencies please inform them and request that their offices in CIS, central Asia, of specifically kazakhstan will take up the issue. Thank you for being with us. Your support is giving us life. With affectionate regards, BB Govinda Swami
