Guest guest
Dear VIHE, Hello. My name is Sarah Ramirez of Jesuit Refugee Service in Florence, AZ USA. I found your name and address while searching online for Hindu organizations. I want to introduce myself and my organization. I write on behalf of the incarcerated. Jesuit Refugee Service is a prison ministry. We have been awarded the contract by the Federal Bureau of Prisons to provide religious services to Immigration detainees housed at the Florence Service Processing Center. Our chaplain and his assistant minister daily to 100's of detainees. Part of what they do is hand out religious reading material. What I have been doing is trying to build up inventory in our lending library. Currently we have very few books on Hinduism. Have you ever been involved in prison ministry or would you care to at this time? Do you have any used or new paperback books on Hinduism you could donate to our ministry? I know you are overseas and shipping books may not be feasible so any info. on stateside organizations/book sources would be apperciated. Sincerely, Sarah Ramirez Jesuit Refugee Service P.O.B. 1130 65 E.
