kali-kukkur-kadan jadi cao (he)

 

kali-yuga-pavana, kali-bhoya-nasana,

 

sri-saci-nandana gao (he)

 

1) If you want to be rid of the menace of the dog-like personality of Kali,

then just sing the glories of the beautiful Son of Mother Saci (Saci-nandana).

He is the savior of the Kali-yuga (Kali-yuga-pavana), and He is the destroyer

of all fear caused by the age of quarrel (Kali-bhoya-nasana).

gadadhar-madana, nita'yer prana-dhana,

 

advaiter prapujita gora

 

nimani bisvambhar, srinivas-iswar,

 

bhakta-samuha-cita-cora

 

2) Lord Caitanya maddens Gadadhara Pandita with His love (Gadadhar-madana), and

He is the treasure of the life of Sri Nityananda Prabhu (Nita'yer Prana-dhana).

The fair-complexioned Lord (Gora) is the most worshipable object of Sri Advaita

Acarya (Advaiter Prapujita). He is affectionately called Nimai by His mother,

due to being born under a neem tree, and He has been named Visvambhar (the

holder of the universe) by His grandfather. He is the only Lord of Srivasa

Pandita (Srinivas-iswar), and He steals the hearts of all the assembled

devotees (Bhakta-samuha-cita-cora).

nadiya-sasadhar, mayapur-iswar,

 

nama-pravartana sura

 

grhi-jana-siksaka, nyasi-kula-nayaka,

 

madhava radha-bhava-pura

 

3) Lord Caitanya is the moon over the town of Nadiya (Nadiya-sasadhar), the

Lord of Sri Mayapur-dham (Mayapur-iswar), and the propagator of His own holy

name (Nama-pravartana). He is saintly in behavior (Sura), and is the instructor

of householders (Grhi-jana-siksaka). He is the hero of those who are in the

renounced order (Nyasi-kula-nayaka). He is the husband of the Goddess of

Fortune (Madhava), and He is overflowing with the ecstatic sentiments of

Srimati Radharani (Radha-bhava-pura).

sarvabhauma-sodhana, gajapati-tarana,

 

ramananda-posana vira

 

rupananda-vardhana, sanatana-palana,

 

haridas-modana dhira

 

4) Lord Caitanya is the corrector and purifier of Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya

(Sarvabhauma-sodhana), the deliverer of King Pratapa Rudra (Gajapati-tarana),

and the source of nourishment for Srila Ramananda Raya (Ramananda-posana). He

is a great hero (Vira). He increases the ecstasy of Srila Rupa Goswami

(Rupananda-vardhana), He maintains and protects Srila Sanatana Goswami

(Sanatana-palana), and He gladdens Haridasa Thakura (Haridas-modana). He is

very grave (Dhira).

braja-rasa bhavana, dusta-mata-satana,

 

kapati vighatana kama

 

suddha-bhakta-palana, suska-jnana tadana,

 

chala-bhakti-dusana rama

 

5) Lord Caitanya meditates on the transcendental mellows of Vraja-dhama

(Braja-rasa-bhavana). He is the destroyer of all wicked mentalities

(Dusta-mata-satana), and He crushes the cheating propensity of pretending

devotees (Kapati Vighatana). He is as beautiful as Cupid (Kama). He maintains

and protects His pure devotees (Suddha-bhakta-palana), and He condemns dry,

speculative knowledge (Suska-jnana tadana). He smashes pretentious and

hypocritical devotion (Chala-bhakti-dusana), and He is the reservoir of

pleasure (Rama).
