Dear Giri-nayaka Prabhu,

Sorry, but I have very little to add to what has already been written on the

topic. Somehow, you still have not convinced me that mediation in itself,

provided it is used properly, is so perilous for the safety of ISKCON.

What is perilous, however -- and much more so -- is our tendency to publicly

blame and condemn not just what we imagine to be deviations, but also the

devotees behind them, by calling them what you called them in the above

quotation -- without even bothering to know their rationales and motives.

Knowing some of them very closely, in your place I would not have dared to

speak even tangentially about these worshipable devotees in such terms in

fear of what could indeed prove spiritually fatal if not for ISKCON at

large, but for me for certain. Rather, I would have gratefully taken your

kind offer to learn more Vaisnava etiquette instead.

Begging to remain.

your servant,

Madana-mohana das
