Does this mean one's *material* mode of nature will change? In the SB purport quoted above Srila Prabhupada instructed that those in tamas and rajas should purify themselves by varnashram and come to the mode of goodness. "(The man in the lower modes) should develop the brahminical qualifications of being very neat and clean, risng early in the morning and seeing mangala arati and so on." Please contrast BG 3.35 purport, "When one is under the spell of the modes of nature, one should follow the prescibed rules for his particular situation and should not imitate others." Any learned reader who can kindly clear my confusion with a conclusive quote from Srila Prabhupada? Thanks in advance.
