Guest guest
In connection with UNITY IN DIVERSITY - GBC resolution: I thought of a story of an argument between Madhudvisa (the actual one, not self-initiated one) and Yamuna dasi in Hyderabad and how HH Tamala Krishna Maharaja was asked to present the case to Prabhupada. It was going on for a while. Madhudvisa was arguing that based on what we know from Nectar of Devotion Balarama and Krsna are the same. The only difference is color. There is otherwise no difference between the Two. Yamuna would not agree with that and would not accept it. She was arguing -- no, Balarama is quite different from Krsna. Krsna, is the only enjoyer of Srimati Radharani. So He cannot be the same as Balarama. So they had to go to Tamala Krsna and then he, the Regional GBC presented the case to Prabhupada. First he presented Madhudvisas point of view: He said: "Madhudvisa Prabhu is saying that Balarama and Krsna are the same. The only difference is color, one is blackish one is white. There is otherwise no difference between the Two personalities whatsoever." Prabhupada said: "He is right." Then Tamal Krsna has presented the different view of the argument. He then said: "But Yamuna is arguing and saying that the difference much more then just colour, since Krnsa is the only enjoyer of Srimati Radharani, He is therefore quite different from Balarama." Prabhupada said: "She is right." Tamala Krsna looked at Prabhupada and said: "Prabhupada, but the two arguments contradict each other..." Prabhupada said: "You are right." Lost for words Tamala Krsna Maharaja looked at Prabhupada and said: "So who is right?" Prabhupada said: You decide...
