>I personally think that BVS could have

>made his entry a bit more sensitive and somehow give some credit to the

>devotee working with FFL,

I agree. It was not very sensitive. After all, Srila Prabhupada initiated

the FFL project, right? "Noone within 10 miles should go hungry", "We will

feed the hungry and dress the naked". So many quotes. Let?s not make a quote

battle since it doesn?t seem to lead to anything constructive.

>Most of us have come to Krishna

>consciousness because of prasadam. that is plenty!

That speaks for itself. Why should we keep the mercy to ourselves,

especially when there are so many hungry people in the world?

>I did take a lot blindly in my early

>years in Krsna consciousness, not more, now I tend to listen more to

>logic and reason rather than the rest of it.

It is wise and important. Had Harikesha?s followers done the same, alot of

trouble would have been spared.

>They will be part of the same ISKCON and complement each other the day

>that one will not try to put down the other.

Yes. That, and politics, is going on, up to the highest level. It is naive

to think anything else. A sannyasi may be respected, but it does not mean he

is perfect and therefore it can be dangerous to follow blindly without using

our own intelligence. It has caused alot of problems in the past as well.

History tends to repeat itself if we are not careful and attentive.

>The day our leaders will allow small devotees to stand on their own feet

and

>encourage them to take more and more responsabilities, that day we will

>start going forward.

>it is one guru going after another, it is the gurukula issue, it is the

women issue, it is

>the way temple still manage their collections.

It is easier to put our heads in the sand and not think about it. Leaders

including sannyasis of their generation have a collective responsibility for

what has happened in the past, and should therefore take responsibility. I

can?t see very many doing that when it comes to the abused children, for

example. That is why we are batteling with a courtcase today. Had we taken

care of the wounded children we would probably would not have had any

courtcase today, costing millions of dollars. That is a fact and it is not

to look away from. Still it is not looked at, because it is uncomfortable

and not blissful enough.

I share the belief and vision many devotees have, that in the future,

charitable activities of different kinds are going to be a natural part of

ISKCON. Let?s be happily looking forward and working towards that.
