Guest guest
Sat Nam Chris! Heat felt in the body with the practice of Yoga and the intention of deepening your experience is Shakti, the Kundalini energy released. Body tremors are the nervous systems way of repairing and strengthening itself. A great kriya to strengthen the nervous system if you are experiencing the tremors is Kundalini Triangle with long, deep, breath. Don't overdo but gradually build up the times. Keep up! Blessings...GuruRavi
Guest guest
Sat Nam Kathleen, Good to hear you're tasting the benefits of this beautifully powerful set (which version are you doing?). I have nothing but awe for the man, Yogi Bhajan, for sharing this one. It effectively resets the anger/fire in it's proper place in our being, and grounded hrough the navel. It doesn't say "don't have anger" - it says acknowledge all the sideways/toxic manifestations of suppressed anger and then reclaim that power and reintegrate it. That having anger is part of being a whole human being and that one can embrace it on one's own terms, and that it doesn't make one a "bad" person. It's amazing how healing this simple idea can be as we are free to actually feel how pure and beautiful we really are, having fully explored what was previously a destructive, and destabilizing feeling for many of us. Are you using pillows or blankets for padding? I use two pillows or folded blankets (better) for exercises 4 and 9b. I also use the stacked blankets for #6 for cushioning where my head touches the floor. The only real work is the navel stuff in #2 and #3, but this is the whole biscuit. I saw the video of Yogiji teaching this and this is where the pressure at the navel brings up and confronts our anger. (press your lower back into the floor to maintain proper form. I use a little airline pillow, or a roll of my sheepskin, under my buttcheeks to maintain the proper angle of pelvic tilt). Stay with it! The buried and misdirected anger will come forward. We get to express and release it through #4, and do that with gusto! Because of the leg postion in #4, the psoas muscle's roll in elimination is used. #5 is a challenge only because I'm still dealing with my winter pudge. On the video of the class, Yogiji had someone come up at the end a lead "Celestial Dance". This is very hard to explain except to say you have a chance to move and feel your new found freedom. Chanting is very good to do at this time. > The butterflies are always in my solar plexus, and/or my heart center. > Now there's another observation point! I think it was Grace Slick (Jefferson Airplane) who said if you ever stop having butterflies, then it's time to start sending little death notices to all your friends. > For the larger part of the week I had been doing the kriya for inner > anger and chanting, again feeling lots of heat, sweating at the end > (only doing minimum times also) wondering if it was doing any good > hmmm? almost falling asleep during deep relax. Guest guest
satnam every one, im about to ask something for which i have no answer even after googling please excuse me if it sounds silly or bit like Stephen King but since this has been experienced by many of my friends too who have sound mind and are responsible people contributing to society..... no one seems to have any explanation for it... it happens while you are sleeping or just relaxing doesnt matter what time of the day suddenly one would feel getting curshed under some unknown, unseen force gripping you second by second....freezing the whole body one is completely aware of what happening the person can even open his eyes and look around but its like the gravity of Jupiter you cannot open your mouth even if you feel like screaming, you can not move a notch. in the end you have to gather your consciousness and fight back against it... and with in fraction of second you are back to yourself.....and things are fine again you can go back to sleep with out fear...or being scared its not a nightmere remotly any comments, possible explanations, spiritual significance, recommendation to see a shrink are welcomed please accept apologies i have been stupid ignorant enough already.... ~sat nam waheguru~ mithun ravindran
Guest guest
Hi Chris, Sat Nam Yes got rid some garbage for sure! Spent some time writing about it too. I to NM Being and my main focus for this month is simply to consistently bring Kundalini Yoga from my mat to daily life throughout the day. So, I admire your goal of 120 days! Hey, I've experienced those same kind of tremors too, but not recently. Wishing you well on your journey. It´s always great to get a breakthrough to encourage us to continue our commitment to KY. How many days are you into inner anger? It really works the abs that´s for sure. I had a similar experience of crying for no apparent reasons about 60 days into sodarshan kriya. I´m now at about 75 day and plan to continue to 120. Some days 9mins some 11mins. It´s working. I´m also feeling heat in ceratin areas of the body. (shins, chest, foot and Hand tremors. Could a more experienced person offer an explanation as to what is going on?. wahe guru!!!!! -Chris, madrid > > > > How low will we go? Guest guest
Sat Nam, Dharam, Thanks for the reply!!! The set I have been doing is the set "To Be Rid Of Internal Anger". (very effective). I choose the sets and kriyas based on the Tantric Numerology areas that need to be addressed. Inner anger, wasn't one of the issues, but apparently it needed some process to "come out". When I read what Yogi Bhjan said "That inner anger has to come out. Why don't you volunteer yourself and get it out?", I felt I had to give it a try. Simple. I agree that anger, isn't "bad". In the last few weeks, it simply just part of who we are-the dark and the light can/do live within us all. It's been far easier to embrace, acknowledge the anger, than to feel guilty or doubtful. Thanks again, be well. Hey, get some rest!!!! Sat Nam Kathleen

Guest guest
Is this the Har, Har set with clenched fists striking down like pulling bells or is it the Inner Anger set? I´m confused. Whichever set it is because in either case in both Dharam´s and your experience you´ve both felt the power of KY, inspiring us to do more. So many sets so little time. BTW-how many days have you been doing this one and when did it start to kick in?- Chris Messenger with Voice. Make PC-to-Phone Calls to the US (and 30+ countries) for 2¢/min or less. Guest guest
Sat Nam Mithun NO QUESTION IS STUPID OR DUMB OR WHATEVER.............All questions are valid. I used to have that crushing feeling (and it does freeze).....I had it a lot before my divorce and am doing better with it now. It did occur at night for me. I don't know whether it is someone trying to suppress or if there is a strong feeling of suppression. It is helplessness. I did something about it by finally getting up my courage against all the suppressors in my life. I rarely have it now but when I do, I take a long hard look at what is going on in my life and fight back(in a reasonable way). I spend some time meditating and placing it in the center of the meditation and releasing it so that I can take a look at what it means. I know it sounds crazy but I strongly believe things occur in weird ways and we either pick them up by our surroundings or from our very deep feelings. YOU ARE NO CRAZY. Just think about it. Guest guest
Sat Nam Mithun, this is a well documented occurance and there's quite a lot of information out there on it. I've experienced it myself and it can be quite frightening until one understands what's going on. Sometimes we get sort of trapped or confused between sleep and a waking state. When we're asleep it's necessary for our body to be somewhat disconnected from our thoughts (otherwise we'd be sleepwalking and acting out in our sleep all the time) so we go into a sort of disconnected state. When we regain consciousness mentally but our body hasn't totally left the sleep state we can feel paralysed or as if something is sitting on our chest. It's commonly called "sleep paralysis" if you'd like to google it. It can be set off by stress and abnormal sleep patterns. blessings ovasoul
Guest guest
Sat Nam, Chris Yes, the set that I used was the set To Be Rid Of Internal Anger. Just as you have described it. Chanting Har, pumping the stomach on each Har, and fist in fighting pose, crossing at the chest.
