Guest guest
I have been a veg for 27 years, and have no problems...but I don't eat junk food, sugars etc, and I eat lots of greens, beets and whole grains. I think the answer is vegetarian, but high quality eating and not over eating. when I liquid fast I do use organic whole milk. Works for me, got tons o energy. I do construction work and Im no spring chicken. Many many "healers" nowadays recommend meat to women who have been vegies, but I think its total fadish baloney! But everyone must make their own judgements about whats good for them. Guest guest
>Many many "healers" nowadays recommend meat to women who have been >vegies, but I think its total fadish baloney! That's what I thought too until I became really ill around menopause. Weight loss, wasting, fatigue, and inability to digest well. Raw vegies: off the table. I tried many things (brown lentils helped) but only when I began to eat fish and chicken did my digestion improve. Diet wasn't the only issue but after a Chinese healer rec'd this, i tried it and it worked. However I still believe that many people thrive on veg diets (i did for years) and that there is sufficient protein there for most conditions. If i had been able to lead a healthier non-urban less-stressed life (my illness followed a long stint of increasingly intensive caregiving for an elder) i may have never found myself in that situation.
