Namaste.

When a graha is well placed you only tend to see the benefic aspects of the

graha. Even if malefic planets are well placed you'll hopefully only see the

good sides of these indicators.

Example: strong 8th lord/house= psychic powers, easy money, quick recovery from

troubles, or little troubles at all.

 

Marakas, are basicallty used to time death, and near death experiences, but in

order for a maraka to excert its full power to kill the individual, ones 8th

houae/lord and 1st house/lord must be activated in some way.

 

Heres a rasi example from a case i've had.

Example:Libra rising, Venus strong in 4th house. 8th ruler is also Venus.

Maraka Mars is weak and afflicted by ketu in 12th house..

 

As the longevity of the individual is strong, one could gather that the person

would have near death experiences, due to militant people(ketu rules army men,

and mars rules agression), during mars dasa's.

 

Basically a strong maraka rids one of the negative effects.. but not completely.

[gjlist] Mercury Dasa

 

 

I've read several times here now that mercury is maraka for sagittarius

lagna, and Mercury Dasa is coming up for me in about a year and a half.

 

Once an astrologer told me that this would be the best time in in my life,

since Mercury is exalted in Virgo in my tenth house, conjunct Sun ( not

combust) in the tenth house. The reading I get for this states that mercury

will give favorable results during her periods, but if it's maraka for me,

does that erase the positive results? And make it into the most awful years

of my life?
