Guest guest
Continuing the ongoing discussion on Tropical Vs Sidereal Zodiac, let me put some points here. I once said on the list, use the two zodiacs and then decide for yourself. Thats the best way of selecting or rejecting what is appropriate. Few inputs. When we work out the horoscope using the traditional method (ghati pal, palbha and using char khand etc.) we use the moveable zodiac only but then make angular correction and convert sayana into nirayana and then use only the nirayana chart. regards, Manoj >aumgn93 >gjlist >gjlist >[gjlist] Re: Tropical vs. Sidereal, Vedic vs. non-Vedic >Mon, 3 Jul 2000 16:18:58 EDT > >Dear Friends, > >The Tropical Zodiac is based on the false ancient Greek notion that the >Equinox Points are "fixed" while the fixed stars "move". > >Tying the signs to the Northern Hemisphere's seasonal changes is a logical >error that insults the Southern Hemisphere, where the seasons are the >opposite.
