Guest guest
Hi Karen You wrote << I have been on the sidelines enjoying your writings immensely. You posess a presence of mind that is spiritual, yet quite humanly warm. You have an uncanny grasp of reality, and it is that very fact that I might imagine, seems a burden to you at times, when it comes to questions asked of you as an astrologer. The other delimma we astrologers face is can this person handle this imformation, yet aren't we supposed to know from looking at the chart if they are. What are the significators of a spiritually ascending person?>> Thank you very much for your nice email and for your encouragement. By training I am spiritual, but my moon is in manusha (human) constellation, therefore my human tendencies. Regarding the delimma we astrologers face about if a person can handle certain information is a difficult one. Every person has good and bad in his/her nature, it is the eternal fight and according to the will power of the person, the tendencies can be seen. Supposse that we are in an island connected to the main land by a bridge. When we cross that bridge, we have with us our intentions to develop on the other side. My teachers say that we are suppose to learn how to read the intentions because they are the most important things in our activities. Astrologers are supposed to learn about omens as well, if the person touches his/her chest it means that his/her questions are connected to the heart, etc. Also, the content of the speech is very important. The other day a person came for advise regarding his professional life, a healer by profession. In due curse, this person commented that one of his enemies came to beg for healing, and full of pride, he refused to help. Although pride is in his chart (Leo traits), by being good to others, pride can be conquered. My spiritual master says that pride (pratistha) is very dangerous because it pull us down. We are supposed to be humble and have respect for everyone (although we should not let people walk on us). Our guides send us a test from time to time and we are supposed to pass it in order to advance, to move to the next stage. A big test came to this person to assess his pride and he failed this time. He was supposed to help his enemy by using his talent and power borrowed from higher realms and his pride took hold of him. He lost his mind and he fell down into a tamasic level. His horoscope indicates that he is going to be successful in his professional activities but due to his pride, he is going to lose everything eventually unless there is a repentance within the heart and a correction. Pride brought pollution to his heart and symptoms of greed, anger, treachery and delusion started to appear soon after. It is obvious that this person was not fit to handle the information that due to his pride he will lose his mind. Eventually, either in this life or in the next, he may pass the same test, but many times we can not see that in a chart because free will is in every person and we can not do their homework. Karma is so complicated that we do not see the implications of our activities, speech and intentions. Experience can help us to assess. Regarding your question <<What are the significators of a spiritually ascending person?>>. Do you mean the karakas? Intentions are seen from the 5th house, the owner, the guest etc. Our present intentions are based in the intentions we had in previous lives. The intentions are repeated again and again until we let it go and we pass the exam with flying colours. Sometimes the test is so difficult that we require the help from above, otherwise we will not make it. We have to see as well the 9th house for spirituality. >From the Bhagavad Gita (the Vedic Bible) we can read: "A person who accepts the path of devotional service is not bereft of the results derived from studying the Vedas, performing austere sacrifices, giving charity or persuing philosophical and fruitive activities. Simple by performing devotional service, he attains all these, and at the end he reaches the supreme eternal abode" From the Bhagavad Gita As It Is Ch. 8 text 28 by Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Devotional service is both very difficult and also very easy to understand. We can see it in every religion and in every heart. When we learn to detect devotional service, we can see the significators of a spiritually ascending person. I hope that you find these lines helpful Yours in the service of the truth Natabara das
