Lagna ruler in 12th house

Hi All!

 

I've appended some of my astrological information below in hopes

that I might be able to get some insight into a couple of specific

questions about my charts. I know it's a lot of information, but I

don't expect any kind of full reading -- I know how much work that

is! I just didn't want to leave something out that someone might

consider important.

 

Anyway, one of the things I've had a hard time judging about my

own chart is whether the fact that my Lagna lord is in the 12th house

spoils the significations of the first house. The 12th house lord is

in his own house, and I have read this is a yoga that makes up for

the 12th house placement of the lagna lord somewhat. I've been in

Mercury dasa for a long time now, and I think the significations are

mixed, but mostly positive. I've gotten almost all the things I've

worked for in this period, although in some cases I've had to work

very hard or else faced a lot of problems with lack of confidence or

procrastination. I enter Ketu dasa next summer, and I can already

tell it's going to be a difficult period filled with major changes (I

can see this even without astrology!). Ketu is within a few degrees

of my Sun -- I think I'm probably lucky to have this combination in

the 11th house, rather than somewhere it would do more harm. Anyway,

I think a lot of that will depend on how I respond to the end of my

Mercury dasa over the next 7 or 8 months, so if anyone has had

experience with this kind of arrangement, I would appreciate any

feedback anyone has.
