Om Krishna Guru

Dear Robert.

Parasara teaches to use Drig Dasa for timing spiritual tendencies.

What should we look for when timing Moksha?

Best wishes, Visti

This is a good question. Sanjay Rath has taught me that, Drig Dasa can be

used very effectively for the timing of periods of spiritual elevation, as

well as the timing for spiritual initiation (diksha). Judge Drig dasa

w.r.t. Mantra-pada (Arudha of 5th house), for Diksha, and see the

timings. The event of Guru's passing, which may be interpreted as Moksha,

may be viewed using Drig dasa w.r.t. Gurupada (Arudha of 9th house).

Anyway, there are no clear instructions on whether Drig is preferred to

other dasas so far as Moksha and its timing are concerned. Since

finality, or the vent of passing from the mortal world, is really a matter

coming under Ayur-Jyotish, or longevity determinations, it might be better

to use Shoola dasa, and see its correspondence to Mantra-pada and Guru-pada

at the time of death. Taking your chart, or the chart of any disciple of

the guru, you can calculate Shoola dasa starting from the stronger of 9th

and 3rd, for your guru, for example, and judge the dasa at his passing vis

a vis Arudha of 5th and of 9th. If its the guru himself whose chart is

being examined, calculate the Shoola dasa from the stronger of lagna and

7th, and see the dasas at passing, w.r.t. Atmkaraka, lord of lagna, and the

Arudha lagna. Do some experimentation, and see what you come up with, as

it would be interesting for all.

BTW, you fooled me! Any American person would have interpreted your name

as female (sorry!).

With regards,

Robert
