Guest guest
Hello All, Regarding Mercury and Revati, or planets being debilitated in Nakshatras they own: Remember that these "owernships" of nakshatras are relative to a dasha system as per BPHS. In the conditional dashas, the other dashas BPHS recommends, the nakshatra lordships are different. So this is not a fixed lordship and that kindof spoils thinking of them in that way. These lordships are starting points for predictive effects. In other words, when the Moon or Ascendent is in Revati, we start a dasha from Mercury. That doesn't mean Mercury really lords that Nakshatra. In fact, classically speaking, the Lords of the Nakshatras are various Gods or Higher Scriptural beings, like Varuna rules my Moon Nak. Satabish. So the fact that dashas starting in Satabish start with Rahu is related to Vimshottari Dasha only. Various astrologers talk about "Lords" of Nakshatras as planets, especially withint the KP system of doing astrology, but then the conditional dashas change these "lordships", as do other dasha systems like Kalachakra, Chara, Yogini, etc. I have noticed Yogini dasha really seems to align with my unfolding life events very well, so those lords which are different are then perhaps more right? So we have to remember this fact. The planets don't really own the nakshatras as per their Vimshottari allotments for starting dashas. Guest guest
Das, Do I understand you correctly, that you're saying the Nakshatra lords are not in actuality the lords of the (given) Nakshatras (Constellations/Lunar Mansions)?? If this is what you're saying then I have to disagree with you strongly. The constellation lords have a very significant influence and to believe otherwise is contrary to all traditional teaching. Perhaps I misunderstood what said?? He says that the lordships are different for different dasa systems! Interpretation therefore depends on the system, actual lordship is uncertain! If Das is right the standard lordships apply only to vimsottari, not to other dasas. ..... regards Mani
