Guest guest
Hi Folks, I just got my new TMA and saw an ad for free charts online, on the web, and that the site was a part of GeoVision software. Being as they are my #1 competitor, I had to look/see. I did. I saw a slick site, that gives good stuff, for what it promises. It's very commercially delivered Jyotish. Basic, but good. All nicely laid out. The gems are automatically reccomended. Gosh, for me it did not mention Yellow Saphire as a top 3 choice, though I have Jup in 9 in Sag. Maybe it thought "that doesn't need fixin" I don't know. Kindof spooky. Online corporate sponsored Jyotish charts, readings, gem reco's. The half owner of PL is a ultra wealthy gem miner/dealer in India, so big in the field, that it doesn't matter who you buy from, he probably makes money. (that's what they tell me) Scary. I guess it's getting tighter in this market. Squeezier. Maybe one day Bill Gates will want to make money off Jyotish online too. Imagine if Microsoft turned their attention to Jyotish software? Would that be good? Hmmm. I guess it's going to get harder for little single me to eak a living out of this. If this rich gem dealer keeps pumping money into PL like he has been for the last few years, in order to propogate the gems as karma fixes thing on earth, might end lil 'ol Das's reason to exist, if too many sales go their way, due to having money pumped into their software development (it's not as if Mickel wrote everything in PL 2000, no, it was a team hired by this gem guy, who I'm sure is sponsoring these now two automated websites related to Geovision). They even have "Let us pay you" trip for linking/sending people to their site, and so on. It's all very corporate, modern, commercial. I guess I know at least now that I have to go the other way. I guess I'm glad they are making it clear to me that the commercial route they've taken, so I have to stay more scientific/spiritual in my approach. I guess I like that. I guess my Lord is still in charge of my life. I guess that's cool. I guess I still see God doing everything. I guess I'm OK with that! Guest guest
Dear Das, I've read your post, and I am really shaken- we live in Kali- Juga, definitively. I can relate to every word you wrote, and I really don't know what to say- if there is any way to preserve life and soul if those commercial, unscrupulous magnates (or...), misuse everything worthwhile- without integrity, compassion, moral, there are so many of those exploiting human weakness, ignorance, misery... I will tell you my story: I've been in a very difficult period and jyotish astrologer whom I consulted recommended pearls as a remedy for my afflicted Moon in Scorpio, Lagna lord. And recommended some jyotis astrologers and vedic gem-dealers..I surfed the web myself, too. They are asking for $150 for ONE, single, fresh water pearl- of course, I found that when I asked- the offer was always "natural pearl", "dearest ..., I want to help you with this"- and "natural" pearls are illegal to harvest, difficult to find, and all pearls are cultured nowadays, and salt water pearls are far more valuable than fresh water pearls... And one can well find salt water necklace for that price- and due to my current situation I've had money-problems, as well... Of course I didn't buy, but it was so disgusting experience...and when I think that they are proclaiming themselves as "healers", helping people in the name of Krishna...I recently met a person who wanted to contact one of them for reading and gem- I didn't hesitate to tell him my experience, and opinion, hoping that I am doing something for the sake of morality. They may well make more money, you cannot do anything about that- you'll always have enough appreciative people around, hopefully, able to see what's false and what's true. (I hope the same for myself, and all honest people- unless the world is coming to an end...) I still believe that we all should tell the truth, our opinion, and it will grow as a snowball and hopefully spread enough to reach as many people as possible. Thanks for sharing this. Marry Christmas to you, dear Das, and to everyone on the List!
