Guest guest
Hey Star People: I noticed today that the Sun passed into Capricorn at about 4 pm and decided to cast an ingress chart for Washington DC according to a well-known principle of mundane astrology. The ingress occurred at 4:26:30 pm (I'm not sure if the Solar Fire program I was using uses the middle of the Sun or its leading edge, as this will lead to some degrees difference in the resulting ascendant). The results support the growing notion among us (including me) that the US is headed for "interesting times". The Asc is 22Ge22 and Rahu(mean) lies almost exactly conjunct it at 21Ge42. Lagnesh Mercury is in the 8th house aspected by Mars. More pointedly, however, is that Mercury(11Cp46) is closely conjunct Neptune (12Cp02). There is a helpful Jupiter aspect on Mercury but given the effect of Rahu and Neptune, I'd say there are difficulties ahead. One question to ponder is: how long is the Capricorn ingress chart good for? I believe some jyotishis hold it valid for a whole year, while others (possibly western, I can't recall) see it as at work for the next three months only, until the next moveable/cardinal sign ingress, Aries. Either way, we should look for troubles in America. Neptune with the lagnesh could mean confusion or illness of the leader (or the body of the nation as a whole), and Rahu on the ascendant would support this view, although Rahu's panoply of effects are significantly wider than Neptune's. It suggests great power that is exercised in an unusual or unpredictable way. How about a High Noon scenario with Saddam? Just to be clear about this, I have never cast in ingress chart before so I confess I am a rank amateur when it comes to this approach. And yet, the basics of astrology applied to this chart do point to problems down the road, as the Bush inauguration chart also shows. Time will tell. Guest guest
Hello Chris, The solar ingress is valid till the next solar ingress. Now each month, Sun is going to change over to different signs. Then the chart is erected for Chaitra Sukla Pratipada, when the new Samvat starts. Then the chart for Amavasya and Purnima is prepared for each month. Then various chakras are used working on mundane affairs. There are various methods which are employed for working mundane conditions. regards, Manoj >Christopher Kevill <ckevill >gjlist >gjlist >[gjlist] Sun's ingress in Capricorn -- USA >Sat, 13 Jan 2001 17:57:25 -0500 > >Hey Star People: > >I noticed today that the Sun passed into Capricorn at about 4 pm and >decided to cast an ingress chart for Washington DC according to a >well-known principle of mundane astrology.
