Guest guest
Om Namo Narayanaya Aroodha means mount, or hill. You can see this mount in the distance and from this vision you can percieve its indications, whether tall short, grassy, baren.. etc. However when you get closer the actual truth prevails, and the Hill may be grassy, with a few baren parts. The Arudha Lagna in various charts show how others percieve your various activities. I have Mercury, Jupiter and Rahu aspecting My Arudha Lagna in Rasi, showing the general perceptions of people. My Arudha Lagna in D-20 shows how people percieve me in Spiritual activities. Here i have Exalted Jupiter aspecting Arudha Lagna. Your coworkers perception of you is seen from Arudha Lagna in Dasamsa. Here i can also see how my coworkers are percieved using the Darapada(A7). All large events can be seen from the Arudha Padas as they will show the others perception, which may or may not be the Truth(Satya). Satya Peetha, the seed of Truth is seen from Lagna. Seek to understand each Arudha Pada in each divisional chart. The the 3rd from Dharmapada in D-24 shows how the Courage of my Teacher is/are percieved. There are also many variables associated from which we can determine many events, at certain periods, using progressed lagna-based on the Dasa. Best wishes, Visti. - <subra <gjlist > Thursday, January 25, 2001 3:53 PM Re: [gjlist] Re: writing, synastric connections, ambition > spyrikal wrote: > > Hi, I was wondering, how does the arudha of a house play in all this? > > Do I have this right, that from the arudha comes how others perceive us, > > from the moon is how we perceive ourselves, and from the lagna is how it > > actually is? Guest guest
Dear Visti Larsen, I take it that you live very far north. Can you somehow explain to us what happens to the sun there? Take a day in Summer. You are standing looking south - for my sake theoretically for many hours!! where does the sun rise? To your left or at your back? What happens then till it "sets", how does it move for you? If I cast a theoretical chart for 89°north 00hrs at 00west on 21 June, ascendant is exactly 90 degrees away from MC. Also on 22 Dec. BUT if I cast it for 21 August AC, sun and MC are conjunct; on 22 sep Ac is exactly opposite MC and Sun! Nanook born on those days at that latitude has his fate "sealed" in many ways: only seals should be allowed to be born there; the future of the child is closed with the seal of secrecy. Polar bears may bear this situation with indifference, but it is a whale of a problem for astrologers. At the other end, penguins will be definitely interested: they have super ideal love-lives. Especially the Adele penguin, which mates for life, meets its mate only once every year and on meeting stands cheek to cheek caressingly for hours before thinking of sex! Not finding the true mate can end in disater, even suicide. Even the church has recognized this great loyalty and praises it in the "hymncome all ye faithful.." Sung in Latin it is "Adele fidestes..." adele is faithful ... hmm..... or have I got it mixed up?????? Perhaps all expecting mothers in the north latitudes should migrate south to give their babies decent horoscopes. This tremendous dilemma is perhaps why jyothishis don´t bother too much with house positions, but if lagna itself is a mystery, I ask you! There is only one universal solution: to take Ac exactly 90 degrees away from MC: treating all births as at equator at that longitude. ..... But your subjective description of sunrise, culmination and sunset would be welcome. regards Mani
