Dear Manoj;

 

Manoj : I worked on not only this chart but charts of all the years, when

major earth quakes shook India and took a heavy toll of life. I have already

reached some conclusions, but I think, it is too early to share them.

Mundane predictions and researches take years and years together to perfect

them, not just one incident, and findings. Hope you get what I am trying to

say here.

 

V: Yes i understand. Your work is appreciated.

 

 

Manoj : I am aware of Shri K.N. Rao. Can you enlighten me on others, I would

really like to know.

 

V: In the press i've only heard from KN Rao, however some friends had given such

a prediction based on the Lunar New/full Moon.

 

Manoj : This requires no further elaboration as Solar ingress chart is just

one part of it. It begins with the Chart when the new Samvat starts. And

then it needs to be progressed further with each solar ingress as well as

new moon and full moon charts. So, in effect, you would require, 1+12+26=39

charts to evaluate and to still arrive at a semblance of a prediction.

Besides, there are many chakras to be used. I am sure you must be aware of

them, like Sanghat Rashi Chakra, Surya Chakra etc.

 

V: Yes, however before we swamp ourselves with many charts we should surely find

those that work best and predict from that. I've used The solar ingress into

Capricorn succesively to predict India's events, in the political scheme and

other incidents, however even my insight to Mundane astrology is quite limited.

 

Manoj : Where do in BPHS, you find mention of Narayana Dasha. Can you

enlighten me. You talk of Rudramsha and other things. My dear friend, tell

me, does affliction to 4th house, means only earth-quakes. Then, every other

month, we would have a devastating earth quake. Then, why only in India ? It

could have also meant, destabilising of the government in power. I for one,

never deviate from the principles enunciated by Parashar or Varah Mihir, who

has given important clues for working out such incidents. But it takes time,

many times, years and even lives to work out a formula which would work in

all cases. Therefore, I humbly acknowledge the greatness respect the amount

of research and dedication put in by astrologers like Shri K.N. Rao, who

come out with such predictions time and again. I remember, he had predicted

about the 1991 earth-quake also.

 

V: Parasara doesn't give the Narayana/Padakrama Dasa. He gives Chara, Sthira and

Naisargika Dasa, which Jaimini then puts together and developes the Padakrama

Dasa, which is a combination of all three, and a VERY versatile dasa system.

 

About Rudramasa which Jaimini also gave, then in Mundane Astrology use it for

disasters, such as wars and earthquakes, i'd look at Navamsa for politics, and

Maybe also Dasamsa has some influence in this. the destruction of homes in

rudramsa could show many things, however the nature of the destruction shows the

indications. If Rahu, Sun and/or Jup were involved i'd think of a fire disaster.

I have yet to look at floods yet but it will be worth the research no doubt.

 

The Rudramsa is offcourse sensitive to some extent, and this is where some

problems resides.. precission. However using basic principles we can also

determine the location of the event, this takes a powerful astrological mind..

but determining the earthquake is the first step.

 

 

Manoj : If it is all encompassing as you say, can you predict a future

earth-quake in India ?

 

V: Offcourse a worthy question. Hopefully in time i will.. Am still comparing my

own predictions with things to come. Also observing right Muhurta for

predictions is essential.

 

Friends, Lets not start jumping to conclusions just on the basis of one

thing in the chart. Though, in my study, I have able to find a pattern

emerging but still I feel, it is too early to say that I have been able to

discern and find out the causes of earth-quakes.
