Guest guest
Dear Manoj, Mani, and Visti, Thanx to all of you for your comments. All of you seems to be gifted with the ability and aptitude for original thinking. New research should be done rather than following the same old principle of Phalita Jyotish (Predictive Astrology) for predicting Mundane Affairs like earthquake and monsoons. Lack of sufficient literature and examples (except the Varaha Mihira's Birhat Samhita) has resulted in over dependence on parametres of Phalita Jyotisha which only gives a confusing and general picture of the disaster to happen. Still our so called great astrologers boast of their correct mundane predictions ! One may be able to predict that certain time date/ week of the year showing a disaster(natural/man made) leading to loss of huge lives and properties. What is the use of such boasting of the correct predictions if it is unable to pin point the nature of the event to happen, the locality and date and hour of the happening, and unable to save a single human life ! You should not be surprised to know that international organisations like Food and Agriculture Organisation(FAO) and UNESCO are are using OLR (Out going Longwave Radiation) from earth's surface to asses the general picture of the world climates and monsoons a decades in advance and these models have been very successful in predicting food production and scaricity. OLR is directly proportional to the solar flares which is being calculated from the planetary positions. UNESCO frequently releases volumes/annual reports on Natural Disasters(Earth quake) giving complete information of sesimic activities(date, location, intensity of quake) which could be a boon to all who want to do research on earth quake.( I have a copy of the 1968 report with me. I'll be happy to share it you if you are staying near Delhi.) Wishing all of you grand success in your efforts.
