Dear KV/ et al

Thank you for info. and appreciation.

The worst aspect of predictions of catastrophes is is this:

Even if one is dead right as to time and location of say an earthquake or flood,

HOW DOES ONE SAVE THE LIVES THERE?

Even if all the inhabitants of the area are convinced by the prediction, how do

they get out of the area? How about the practical problems? Who finances the

mass migration? Where will the refugees find temporary homes? Can they afford to

travel? What of their possessions? If they throw these away, who will help them

to re-establish themselves? How about business connections? Will they all accept

cessation of activities? Will big firms pay those who have to leave their local

branches unattended?

Can one demonstrate without doubt that a prediction of that nature is absolutely

certain? If so, can one persuade the state to immediately support evacuation and

later re-habilitation?

The problem is so simple: say I work for a firm and am sent for a meeting in New

York. The firm books a flight and gives me the ticket. The muhurtha is terrible:

but how can I get a different ticket to suit a good muhurtha? If one or two days

earlier, I have to pay for the hotel, which I may not be able to. If later I may

miss the meeting! So how much can we control?

As things are, only the astrologer can triumphantly announce his or her success!

But the human problem is never solved!..........

Again, the only solution is to pray, "Great Mother, protect and help me!" For me

Sri Krishna was an incarnation of the Mother; and he showed that all the 33 Gods

of the vedas - and all other deities of planets etc. - were nothing before

HIM/HER!

If any of you can predict disasters, start a circle of intense prayer for those

affected, that the physical disaster leaves them relatively unscathed except for

a shock! I say shock, for the adversity often brings human love and

understanding, which the affected can benefit from: "Sweet are the uses of

adversity" - Shakespeare in "as you like it". Those who survive such disasters

are usually much better people than those who have never suffered!

Regards

Mani
