Guest guest
Also, I agree with Christopher. Frawley's book, DeFouw&Svoboda's two books, the two K.N. Rao intro books, Gale Dreyer's "Vedic Astrology," and Levacy's "Beneath a Vedic Sky," is how I began. It may take my entire lifetime to get were I want to be with regards to Vedic, but hey, it's "one pebble at a time" for me. Regards, VZ Another thing to consider, especially if you're in the early throes of 'vedic frustration', is to give Systems Approach (SA) a try. It is a neat, simplified approach to vedic astrology that many people find effective. There are web sites and tons of books on it (by VK Choudry). It takes only a little while (a few months?)to learn the basics, and it avoids some of the complicated often contradictory stuff that pervades the jyotish canon. I'm familiar with SA and I think it's useful although I am not a through-and-through practitioner of it. But if you're finding vedic overwhelming, it's definitely worth checking out. I wish I had taken it more seriously in my early stages of study. Let me know where you're at and I'll give you any tips that I can muster. Remember, though, I ain't no pro! Hopefully more learned members can offer their insights as well. Chris Thank you both, very much, for your help and that fact that you cared enough to respond....
