Guest guest
Namaste. You'll have to ask substantial times before i can give you a correct answer on that one. I believe the clue is the suns joining with the ecliptic, no matter if its visible or not. It seems to work well nevertheless. I don't agree with Das, every astrologer with respect for themself should have BPHS, for a reference atleast. Atleast have it so one can master the first chapters, they are easy enough, and are the basis of whatever predictions are being made here. Nevertheless here we go: The Bhava Lagna: Take the amount of Ghatis surpassed since sunrise. The Bhava Lagna changes every 5 ghatis. Divide the amount of Ghatis surpassed by 5. This should give the sign placement, and convert the remainder into degrees. Add the longitude obtained to the longitude of the sun at sunrise. Once you have the Bhava Lagna, draw cusps of 15 degrees on each side of the Bhava Lagna, to get the first house. The rest of the houses can then be drawn from there. The principle is to prove that the astral body has no physical boundries as it is with the 12 limbs of Kalapurusha(zodiac). The method of calculating the lagna is the same for Ghati-(1) and Hora(2.5) Lagna, but the special Bhava Chakra is only for the Bhava Lagna. As we're devoid of signs and rely on houses, then the most appropriate method of timing events is the Sudarshana Chakra(BPHS). Nakshatra Dasa's are based on the moons transit, and thus is the timing of impulses responded by the mind, so Nakshatra Dasa's like vimshottari are out of the picture, no matter which position its calculated from. Best wishes, Visti. >> Dear visti, I don´t have BPHS! I am a beginner in jyothish, have neither hopes nor wishes to ever become an expert! Dasji advised ud beginners NOT to start with BPHS and I have not acquired it - also for financial reasons. Now I hear one can download it, but I have the address hidden away, cannot find it quick. That is why I asked you for help, but if it is too much bother explaining, forget it! After 67 years of being in ignorance, I guess I´ll manage in the limited future too! Since I am not an astrological consultant, it won´t hurt anybody at all if I know too little. no danger of my predicting BS to any poor soul! What I do miss from you is the info. as to how the sun rises and sets in your latitudes over the year! It is so difficult to envisage if one lives outside the polar circle. I asked once for a desription of the "day" in the extreme north, in terms of local perceptions, on the solsticial and eqinoctial dates, seen from the perspective of a person looking towards the south. I repeat my request. regards, dear friend Mani gjlist- Your use of is subject to
